Transport Planner

About the role

Gist, in partnership with M&S, is seeking a Transport Planner to keep its Clonshaugh operation running smoothly. You will be at the heart of a fast‑paced transport environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and on‑time movement of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Plan vehicle movements and manage daily transport operations.
• Support drivers and operational teams throughout each shift.
• Manage rotas and transport resources effectively.
• Respond quickly to operational challenges and customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with driver regulations and Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Collaborate across shifts to maintain service levels.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience in transport planning or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of drivers’ hours, WTD, and transport compliance.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Calm under pressure, team‑oriented, and pride in delivering high‑quality service.
• National or International CPC (preferred but not essential).
