University Tutor – French Language

About the role

The University Tutor will support the delivery of French language teaching within the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures & Cultures at Maynooth University. The position focuses on providing tuition and demonstrations to undergraduate students and helping them grasp key course concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tuition and/or demonstrations to groups of undergraduate students in French language modules.
• Assist and support students in developing their understanding of core course topics.
• Highlight and draw out key learning points from course materials.
• Contribute to teaching within an established programme under public sector pay provisions.

Required profile

• Ability to contribute effectively to undergraduate teaching in French.
• Willingness to support student learning and engagement.
• Commitment to the university’s goals of excellent research, scholarship and education.

• Salary range €45,551 – €57,921 per annum (7 points) in line with public sector pay.
