Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will support the delivery of cost management and commercial services across a varied portfolio of projects. You will gain hands‑on experience from feasibility and design stages through to construction and final account settlement, working closely with senior surveyors and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets and cost plans.
• Support tender preparation, analysis and procurement activities.
• Measure quantities and produce bills of quantities where required.
• Monitor project costs and contribute to cost reporting.
• Review contractor valuations and variations.
• Help prepare financial and commercial reports for clients.
• Collaborate with senior quantity surveyors, project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Learn and apply company procedures and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational capability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
