Customer Service Representative – Hybrid (Athy, Ireland)

About the role

Etex is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join its Ireland team in Athy. The role is hybrid, with three days on‑site and two days remote, supporting customers, merchants and sales representatives with enquiries, orders and pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers, merchants and sales reps with enquiries, order processing and stock availability.
• Enter and maintain order and customer data in SAP, providing updates on order progress and delivery.
• Process credits, debits and returns according to company policy.
• Provide pricing information for metal and slate products to existing accounts.
• Coordinate with logistics, production and purchasing on deliveries and product availability.
• Support credit control activities and handle payment transactions when required.
• Cover switchboard, procurement and other customer‑service functions as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing or service role is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills with a confident, professional telephone manner.
• Comfortable working in an operational or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A relevant business qualification is a plus.
