QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical Projects

About the role

Whitewater Group is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and control across complex mechanical, electrical and instrumentation projects for critical infrastructure and data centre environments. The role involves hands‑on inspection, documentation and coordination with subcontractors to ensure compliance with the off‑site construction (OSM) programme.

Key responsibilities

• Perform walk‑down inspections at key build milestones for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works.
• Support and maintain the tagging process, ensuring accurate tag status throughout the build.
• Execute Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and keep complete quality records for the project lifecycle.
• Raise, track and close out Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and review vendor/sub‑contractor documentation.
• Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), witnessing tests, snagging and close‑out activities.
• Travel to client sites after module delivery to conduct on‑site inspections and support handover.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on QA/QC experience in an inspection role.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical walk‑downs in data‑centre or critical‑infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with tagging processes, ITP execution and NCR management.
• Exposure to multi‑discipline, multi‑sub‑contractor environments.
• Degree (Level 7/8) in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering or equivalent experience.
