Construction Supervisor – Kilkenny

About the role

The Construction Supervisor will lead line and electrical construction maintenance and fault activities across the Kilkenny Central Region. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, to quality standards and within budget while supporting ESB’s net‑zero transition.

Key responsibilities

• Plan work and set priorities in line with Distribution & Customer Services policy.
• Receive and manage all construction work for the area, including new supplies, line diversions and capital programmes.
• Monitor progress and quality of work performed by external contractors.
• Schedule team members efficiently using the IWM system.
• Ensure safe, on‑time completion of all tasks and proper recording for the Asset Management Register.
• Conduct quality and safety audits for staff and contractors.
• Develop and manage staff, maintain customer relations and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years relevant construction or electrical maintenance experience.
• Project management experience.
• Advanced Level 6 Electrical Craft Certificate or equivalent.
• 3rd level qualification or equivalent work experience.

Required skills

• Electrical Craft (Level 6) certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Project management capabilities.
