Staff Engineer, Facilities Engineering

About the role

Analog Devices is seeking a Staff Engineer to provide mechanical engineering expertise for its semiconductor manufacturing site in Limerick. The role supports operations and maintenance while leading design and project oversight for a wide range of facilities systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for operating, maintaining and repairing all mechanical facilities systems.
• Evaluate existing mechanical infrastructure, perform failure analysis and develop a roadmap to eliminate single points of failure.
• Review and improve systems to conserve water and energy, and work with external entities to obtain conservation rebates.
• Develop project outlines, detailed designs, scopes of work, schedules, cost estimates and ROI calculations for office upgrades and fab construction (Class 1 or better).
• Prepare purchase requisitions, executive summaries, proposals and permit applications; coordinate contractors and manage snag lists.
• Maintain as‑built mechanical drawings and documentation, own incidents from root‑cause analysis to resolution, and ensure standardized maintenance practices.

Required profile

• Staff‑level mechanical engineer with experience in semiconductor or heavy‑industrial facilities.
• Proven ability to support 24/7 mission‑critical operations and manage complex mechanical projects.
• Strong analytical skills for failure analysis, redundancy planning and resource conservation.
