Accommodation Assistant

About the role

The Accommodation Assistant ensures that guest rooms, public areas and linen meet the hotel's 4‑star standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation. Working closely with the Accommodation Manager, you will perform thorough room checks, replenish supplies and support the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridors and public areas using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Refresh bed linen and towels according to the hotel schedule and standards.
• Keep accommodation trolleys, caddies and storage areas tidy, stocked and ready for use.
• Report any maintenance issues promptly to the supervisor or manager.
• Handle lost guest property by passing items to the Accommodation Manager.
• Communicate room status, VIP moves and special requests to the supervisor.
• Respond courteously to guest complaints and forward them to management.
• Adhere to fire, security, health and safety procedures and report accidents.

Required profile

• Punctual and reliable attendance according to rostered shifts.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Well‑groomed appearance, full clean uniform and name badge at all times.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
