Assistant Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

As an Assistant Manager at Applegreen in Celbridge, you will support daily store operations, ensuring high standards of customer service and sales performance. You will work closely with the Site Manager to keep the site running smoothly and represent the brand in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager in operating the business according to the Applegreen Systems Manual.
• Maintain excellent customer service and address customer inquiries promptly.
• Help drive sales and meet established sales targets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and brand guidelines.
• Take charge of the site during the absence of the Site Director or Site Manager.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a similar retail or hospitality role.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive environment.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced setting and willing to learn new tasks.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and inventory tracking.
