Back End Developer – FinTech AI Neobank

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to build the core systems behind BJAK’s AI‑powered Neobank app. You will design and implement reliable APIs and services that support onboarding, accounts, payments, cards, transfers, rewards, travel, FX, KYC and risk flows for millions of users across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for a wide range of financial products.
• Design systems that handle real‑time customer transactions with high reliability, security and low latency.
• Integrate with internal platforms, financial partners, payment providers, AI services and third‑party APIs.
• Own the quality of backend components, including observability, data integrity and incident response.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, mobile and AI teams to deliver features quickly and safely.
• Continuously improve existing workflows by automating manual processes and simplifying architectures.

Required profile

• Proven experience building production‑grade backend systems used by real customers.
• Strong understanding of API design, authentication, authorization, data storage and event‑driven architectures.
• Ability to balance speed, correctness, scalability and maintainability in fast‑changing environments.
• Mindset focused on reliability, security and data quality.
