Building Inspector – Assigned Certifier (Dublin)

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Building Inspector to join its Assigned Certifier team in Dublin. The role involves supporting inspection and compliance activities across a range of commercial, residential, industrial and infrastructure projects throughout Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with Irish Building Regulations, project specifications and relevant standards.
• Inspect structural, mechanical and electrical installations at various construction stages.
• Review drawings, technical documentation and contractor submissions for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate project records.
• Identify defects, non‑conformances and safety concerns, recommending corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Significant site experience in construction quality assurance, site inspections and building compliance within the Irish construction sector.
• Strong engineering background with the ability to interpret regulations and standards.
