Construction Contracts Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead a 100‑unit apartment development in North Dublin, starting July 2026. The role spans the full project lifecycle, from pre‑construction planning through to handover, and offers the chance to work with a leading Irish main contractor on high‑value, complex builds.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, budget and quality.
• Lead site teams, including Project Managers, Site Agents and Engineers.
• Own commercial aspects of contracts, driving budgets, cost control and value engineering.
• Liaise with clients, design teams and consultants throughout the project.
• Procure, appoint and monitor subcontractors, ensuring performance and compliance.
• Monitor programme progress, identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are met on all sites.
• Provide regular progress, commercial performance and risk reports to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 10+ years of construction experience, including 3–5 years as a Contracts Manager.
• Proven delivery of large‑scale main‑contractor projects (€10 million+).
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in budget and subcontractor account management.
• Excellent leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Project.
• Proficiency with Asta Powerproject or similar planning tools.
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts such as RIAI, FIDIC or NEC.
