Construction Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead a large construction project in County Meath. You will work with a successful local company delivering residential, commercial, education, medical and specialised projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to closeout.
• Define project objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and control project schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Manage procurement processes, including bid evaluation, contract negotiation and vendor selection.
• Oversee budgeting, cost control and change order management.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify risks and enforce safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders, providing updates and fostering strong relationships.
• Provide leadership and guidance to create a collaborative, high‑performance work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience delivering construction projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints and construction schematics.
• Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications.
