Design Coordinator

About the role

The Design Coordinator will work within BAM's Design & Build team to lead the coordination of design deliverables for a major project in Ireland. You will ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, and façade standards while supporting the project from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with the Design & Build team and external stakeholders, including the Department of Education.
• Prepare and issue MTS/RDD documents, ensuring compliance with GWR, SSWR and contract requirements.
• Oversee design submissions and designer checklists via Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) CDE.
• Manage site mock‑ups, record attendance, and upload reports to the CDE.
• Verify subcontractor documentation such as DOPs and CE markings.
• Prepare the design portion of bi‑weekly contractor progress reports.
• Coordinate design development from concept to construction, chairing design meetings.
• Lead façade system design, including curtain walls, cladding, glazing and brickwork.
• Facilitate clash resolution with M&E, structural and architectural designers.
• Track submittals, RFIs and approvals to align with the project programme.

Required profile

• Strong people‑management and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
