Director of Sales & Marketing (Hospitality)

About the role

Carton House, a five‑star resort and the sole Fairmont hotel in Ireland, is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead commercial performance across all revenue streams. You will shape strategy, drive growth, and enhance the resort’s market position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated sales and marketing plans for all business segments.
• Identify new revenue opportunities and monitor market trends to inform strategy.
• Lead, coach and develop high‑performing commercial teams aligned to KPIs.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align commercial initiatives with overall business goals.
• Optimize systems and processes to maximise commercial performance.
• Champion brand standards, customer experience and service excellence.
• Prepare departmental strategies, budgets and monitor return on invested capital.
• Ensure compliance with legal, health & safety and company policies.

Required profile

• Proven senior sales and marketing leadership experience, preferably in hospitality or multi‑revenue environments.
• Track record of delivering revenue growth and commercial success.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret performance data.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, results‑driven approach.
