EAL Teacher – Primary School (IB PYP)

About the role

Nord Anglia International School Dublin is seeking a dedicated English as an Additional Language (EAL) Teacher for its Primary School. The role supports diverse learners in an inquiry‑led IB Primary Years Programme environment, helping them develop strong English language skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted, high‑quality EAL support to primary students, enabling access to the PYP curriculum.
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons in withdrawal sessions and through in‑class support.
• Use a range of assessment tools to identify language needs, monitor progress and give feedback to students, parents and class teachers.
• Collaborate closely with PYP class teachers to design inclusive lessons and share language strategies.
• Create a welcoming classroom culture that celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity.
• Communicate regularly with parents about progress and home‑learning strategies.
• Participate in extra‑curricular activities, school events and community initiatives.

Required profile

• A recognised teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience as an EAL professional.
• Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme.
• Ability to plan differentiated instruction and assess language development.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills.
