Electrical Chargehand

About the role

Tritech Engineering is seeking an Electrical Chargehand to oversee and coordinate electrical installation activities on designated projects. You will ensure that all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance, direction and support to all tradespeople on site.
• Assign tasks to team members, ensuring work meets project specifications and deadlines.
• Monitor the quality of work performed, conduct inspections and give feedback to the site foreman.
• Enforce Environmental, Health & Safety protocols at all times.
• Liaise with clients regarding site works and requirements.
• Track labour hours against allowances and manage material stocks to maintain continuity.
• Work across various small and keywork projects, ensuring programmes and timelines are met.

Required profile

• Strong electrical trade background.
• Previous experience on large and industrial projects.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience post‑apprenticeship.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Good attention to detail.
