Event Staff – YGK Beerfest

About the role

Join the team for the YGK Craft Beer Fest at Fort Henry National Historic Site, providing a safe and welcoming experience for guests during this one‑day event.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, orient and direct guests, delivering key event information and safety reminders.
• Rotate between roles such as greeter, ID/bracelet administrator, beverage team assistant and other operational tasks.
• Assist with crowd congestion, provide wayfinding support and monitor assigned zones for hazards.
• Listen to guest feedback, resolve issues when possible and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Maintain excellent customer service while upholding equity, diversity and inclusion principles.

Required profile

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and for long hours during a single‑day event.
• Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including standing and moving for extended periods.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a professional, calm demeanor in a busy environment.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, punctuality and willingness to learn safety protocols and event information.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $17.60 (CAD) for up to 36.25 hours per week.
