Executive Director – Lead Galway Community Circus

About the role

The Executive Director will provide inspirational leadership for Galway Community Circus, guiding the organisation through the next phase of its strategic plan and ensuring inclusive, boundary‑breaking circus arts participation and education for children across Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver artistic, strategic and business objectives in line with the 2023‑2027 plan.
• Provide clear direction to staff, board members and external stakeholders.
• Manage organisational change and support the heads of Circus School, Projects & Development, Finance & Governance, and Communications.
• Oversee financial performance, governance and communications.
• Represent the organisation nationally and internationally, including travel as required.

Required profile

• Proven track record of senior leadership in a non‑profit or arts‑focused organisation.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to drive organisational growth.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and board‑relationship skills.
• Commitment to inclusive, accessible circus education for all children.

• Salary €55,000 per annum (subject to experience).
