Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead the bar, restaurant and café of our 69‑bedroom venue in Galway. You will be responsible for shaping the guest experience, driving service standards and collaborating with the Head Chef to deliver a cohesive food and drink offering.

Key responsibilities

• Own the overall guest experience across bar, restaurant and café, from coffee to cocktails and brunch to late‑night service.
• Recruit, train and develop a high‑performing, guest‑obsessed team, fostering a culture of pride and accountability.
• Maintain impeccable service standards, ensuring a warm, efficient and relaxed atmosphere.
• Partner with the Head Chef to align menus, coordinate service flow and create seamless touchpoints.
• Develop and refine a cutting‑edge drinks programme, including cocktails, wines, beers and non‑alcoholic options.
• Control ambience through pacing, lighting, music and table flow to keep the venue lively.
• Drive revenue through upselling, menu engineering, reservations management and events while protecting guest experience.
• Oversee compliance with health & safety, licensing, stock controls and cash procedures.
• Analyse performance metrics such as covers, average spend and guest feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with marketing on promotions, events and social media to raise the venue’s profile.
