About the role
The Metropole Hotel is seeking a full‑time Duty Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager/General Manager, you will be the visible presence on‑site, coordinating all departments during your shift.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain health, safety and security standards across the property.
- Monitor staffing levels with heads of departments and address any discrepancies.
- Support the operation of F&B outlets, accommodation and front office as needed.
- Patrol the building, keep fire exits clear, and lead the team during fire alarms.
- Ensure cleanliness, proper signage, and correct storage of goods.
- Gather guest feedback, resolve complaints and uphold service quality.
- Participate in developing and updating management strategies and brand initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in hotel operations or a similar hospitality role.
- Strong commitment to guest comfort and service excellence.
- Ability to work flexible hours and maintain a constant lobby presence during peak periods.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
