Handyperson / Assistant – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Connemara Coast Hotel is seeking a reliable Handyperson/Assistant to join its Maintenance Team. This full‑time position involves maintaining the hotel’s interior, equipment, and surrounding grounds, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and complete daily repair tasks reported by staff or guests.
• Perform routine daily, weekly and monthly checks as directed.
• Carry out larger project work and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Coordinate with external contractors during your shift.
• Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and use appropriate PPE.
• Provide courteous assistance to guest queries.
• Monitor and maintain hotel plant equipment and systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within a quality environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and on‑call periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety standards.
