Hotel Day Porter – Guest Services & Operations

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Hotel Day Porter to join the Sheraton Athlone team. Working across all hotel departments, you will help create a seamless and memorable experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, prioritising excellent service.
• Assist with room service delivery and transport guest luggage.
• Set up, refresh and maintain meeting rooms.
• Carry out regular security checks and participate in fire and accident drills.
• Familiarise yourself with the hotel layout, local amenities and safety procedures.
• Report and act on incidents such as accidents, fires, loss or damage.
• Uphold the hotel’s customer‑relations policy and promote services to guests.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, appearance and professionalism.

Required profile

• Fully flexible availability on weekdays and weekends, day and evening shifts.
• At least one year of experience in a similar hospitality role (highly desirable).
• Outstanding customer‑care attitude and strong motivation.
• Ability to work independently, stay resilient under pressure and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AV equipment (highly desirable).
