Hotel Manager – 5‑Star Resort

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially‑focused Hotel Manager to lead daily operations at the prestigious 5‑star Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa. Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure a seamless, memorable guest experience while driving revenue and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day hotel operations and deputise for the General Manager when absent.
• Maintain a strong commercial focus, driving revenue growth and identifying new business opportunities.
• Supervise and develop department heads, fostering accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Manage costs, budgets and KPIs to optimise financial performance.
• Collaborate with Front of House, Food & Beverage, Accommodation, Banqueting and other departments to enhance the guest offering.
• Support HR initiatives including training, recruitment, appraisals and staff engagement.
• Ensure compliance with Marriott International brand standards and lead operational audits.
• Work closely with Sales & Marketing to maximise revenue and market share, especially for weddings and events.
• Promote sustainability initiatives and green programmes.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level hotel management experience with strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent financial acumen, experience managing budgets, forecasts and P&L.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with a guest‑first mindset.
• Track record of leading high‑performing teams and driving continuous improvement.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
