Hotel Receptionist

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join The Montenotte’s Front Office team in Cork. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth check‑in and check‑out experiences and delivering the high level of service expected at a luxury urban resort.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, manage arrivals and departures, and handle luggage courteously.
• Process reservations, cancellations and modifications via phone and email.
• Generate and verify guest invoices, manage billing for FIT and tour operators.
• Promote upselling opportunities and contribute to departmental revenue targets.
• Prepare and submit daily front‑office reports on time.
• Liaise with senior management to resolve guest queries or issues.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling payments and reports.
• Team player who can collaborate with reservations and other hotel departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using telephone and email systems for guest communication.
• Experience with reservation and billing procedures.
