IAM Consultant – Identity & Access Management (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are partnering with a large enterprise to deliver a six‑month Identity & Access Management (IAM) transformation. The consultant will work closely with the Information Security team to strengthen governance, automation and compliance across the organisation’s identity lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a robust Joiners, Movers & Leavers (JML) policy and governance framework.
• Design and document standard operating procedures for IAM processes.
• Improve identity lifecycle management and automate user access reviews using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Integrate business applications with Microsoft Entra ID and enhance access governance across systems, applications and networks.
• Support compliance with NIS2 identity and access management requirements.
• Collaborate with Information Security, Infrastructure and business stakeholders to deliver IAM improvements.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation, governance and operational efficiency across the IAM estate.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering IAM projects in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Joiners, Movers & Leavers processes and identity lifecycle management.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience implementing access governance, automated access reviews and supporting regulatory compliance programmes such as NIS2.
• Excellent stakeholder management, documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives from design through implementation.
