Installation Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

As an Installation Engineer at Applied Materials you will join the iTeam to install, assemble, connect and test semiconductor production equipment across Europe. You will work closely with customers, ensuring smooth hand‑over of new tools and supporting worldwide installations while traveling up to 75% of the time.

Key responsibilities

• Perform independent installation tasks including mechanical assembly, electrical connections and robot calibrations.
• Follow checklists, procedures and schematics, and conduct troubleshooting and testing of equipment.
• Report status, hours worked and non‑conformances accurately.
• Participate in escalation calls and continuous‑improvement projects to reduce cycle time and cost.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, etc.).
• Open to junior candidates with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage installation projects within budget and timeline.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
