Lab Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

The Lab Desktop Support Engineer will join the Lab Services Team to provide day‑to‑day technical support for validated analytical laboratory systems. This hybrid position ensures timely resolution of incidents, user administration, and continuous improvement of lab applications within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and administer local laboratory applications, including periodic user reviews and audit‑trail checks.
• Provide Level‑1 front‑line support to laboratory users, troubleshooting system errors.
• Collaborate with vendors and global support teams to resolve complex issues.
• Act as the on‑site point of contact for the Laboratory System Helpdesk, coordinating with global teams.
• Deploy system content updates and deliver end‑user training.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties and support other lab‑related IT tasks as required.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in IT application support, preferably within a pharmaceutical API manufacturing or regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with QC laboratory systems is a plus.
