Legal Counsel / Head of Legal

About the role

We are seeking a senior Legal Counsel to lead the legal function of a Dublin‑based private equity investment firm. Reporting to the CFO, you will shape legal strategy across investments, portfolio companies and corporate operations, ensuring risk is managed while supporting growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support throughout the investment lifecycle, including acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and portfolio management.
• Advise senior leadership on corporate, commercial, governance, regulatory and risk matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements and transaction documentation.
• Manage relationships with external law firms and oversee delivery of legal services.
• Support portfolio companies on legal and governance issues as required.
• Develop and improve legal processes, policies and best practices across the firm.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with post‑qualification experience in a leading law firm, in‑house team or private‑equity environment.
• Proven experience advising on M&A, corporate transactions and commercial matters.
• Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial setting.
