Legal Counsel – In‑House Generalist

About the role

We are seeking an Irish‑qualified solicitor to join the expanding in‑house legal team of an international engineering and infrastructure business. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of commercial matters in a fast‑paced environment, ideal for a solicitor looking to transition in‑house or deepen existing in‑house experience.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal and commercial advice to internal stakeholders.
• Support employment law and HR‑related issues in partnership with the HR team and external advisers.
• Assist with corporate governance and wider compliance initiatives.
• Support dispute management and litigation matters.
• Advise on GDPR and data‑protection issues across the business.
• Contribute to legal policy development, training and risk‑management projects.

Required profile

• Irish‑qualified solicitor with 3–7 years’ post‑qualification experience.
• Strong legal training from a reputable law firm.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and eager to learn.
• Ability to build strong relationships across the business.
