Maintenance Electrician

About the role

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company in West Cork, is looking for a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join their engineering team. This permanent position offers a secure, long‑term career in a modern production environment with flexible shift options.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Maintain motors, sensors, control panels, drives and automated machinery.
• Support machinery installations, upgrades and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Complete maintenance records and assist with spare‑parts management.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician with recognised trade certification.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering or food‑production environments.
• Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
