About the role
The Maintenance Technician will deliver preventive and corrective maintenance for utilities equipment at the Grangecastle site in Dublin. You will work closely with the Veolia site manager, client representatives, shift leads and the engineering team to ensure reliable plant operation.
Key responsibilities
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance programmes in line with client and PPU requirements.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for plant maintenance issues.
- Troubleshoot utilities equipment, including pumps, HVAC, boilers and water systems.
- Complete and update site documentation, maintenance task lists (MTLs) and work orders.
- Follow Veolia and site EHS rules, permit‑to‑work procedures and risk assessments.
- Liaise with contractors during planned service maintenance and coordinate third‑party suppliers.
- Participate in training, conduct risk assessments and keep SOP/EWI documents current.
- Drive continuous improvement of contract delivery and site housekeeping standards.
Required profile
- Senior Trades qualification (City & Guilds) or equivalent in Mechanical/Building Services engineering.
- Engineering degree/diploma (mechanical or environmental) with 2‑3 years post‑graduate experience, or marine qualification with 2‑4 years at sea.
- Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical/building services or utilities maintenance.
- Strong understanding of pumps, HVAC, boilers, steam, chillers, cooling towers and water treatment systems.
