Maintenance Technician

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician you will be based at our customer site in Leixlip, Ireland, delivering on‑site service for EBARA’s high‑precision equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing. You will ensure equipment is operational, perform both planned and unplanned maintenance, and support customers to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all planned and unplanned maintenance and start‑up of Ebara components such as pump rack systems, vacuum pumps, gas abatement systems and trace heating systems.
• Coordinate maintenance and IQ activities with customers, internal teams and third‑party contractors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software equipment issues, ensuring the plant is production‑ready before hand‑over.
• Accurately record all activities in the prescribed systems.
• Execute routine preventive maintenance following documented procedures.
• Escalate technical problems to peers when necessary and flag issues that could impact schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with site environmental, health and safety requirements.
• Participate in planning and scheduling meetings as required.

Required profile

• L6 qualification in a relevant technical discipline (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
• Previous equipment maintenance experience is a distinct advantage.
• Practical, hands‑on approach to technical problem solving.
• Experience with low‑voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to read and understand Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and electrical circuit diagrams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts covering days, nights and weekends.
• IT literate.
