Maintenance Technician (Permanent)

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Stamullen, County Meath. This permanent, day‑shift position (Thursday‑Saturday, 12‑hour shifts) supports the production line of a biopharma manufacturing site, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform machine change‑overs, address stoppages and breakdowns within target times to minimise production loss.
• Carry out planned routine maintenance and adhere to preventive‑maintenance schedules for all plant equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to an expert level.
• Program PLCs, design and implement system improvements, and lead engineering projects through validation.
• Create and manage Management of Change (MOC) documentation within the Quality Management System.
• Conduct Design of Experiments and other fault‑finding techniques to optimise processes.
• Lead A3 problem‑solving activities, identify root causes and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work environment and ensure all GMP documentation is completed accurately.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance of pharmaceutical or biopharma equipment operating under GMP.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to program and modify PLC logic.
• Experience with MOC procedures, design of experiments and validation activities.
• Hands‑on approach to equipment redesign and process improvement.
• Commitment to safety, clean‑room standards and accurate record‑keeping.
