Meeting & Events Co‑ordinator

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Meeting & Events Co‑ordinator to join The Hardiman, a historic hotel in Galway. You will be responsible for selling and managing meetings, conferences, weddings and private dining events, ensuring each experience meets our high standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue by actively selling meetings, conferences, weddings and private events.
• Manage the event diary, pricing strategy and generate detailed function sheets.
• Maintain and update the Opera and HubSpot systems with enquiries, bookings, client profiles and post‑event feedback.
• Conduct site tours, familiarisation trips and respond promptly to sales enquiries.
• Coordinate with the operations team to ensure seamless hand‑over and execution of events.
• Handle guest complaints and feedback related to weddings and events, taking ownership of resolutions.
• Prepare weekly sales reports, contribute to the annual sales and events budget and track budget targets.
• Represent The Hardiman at workshops, exhibitions and promotional events.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of sales or events experience in a hospitality setting.
• Strong drive, ambition and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Guest‑focused mindset with a friendly, welcoming personality.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Opera property management system.
• Experience using HubSpot CRM.
