Night Porter

About the role

The Address Sligo is seeking a reliable Night Porter to ensure guest needs are met efficiently during the night shift while maintaining safety and security throughout the property.

Key responsibilities

• Arrive on time in a clean, full uniform with name badge and professional appearance.
• Receive handover from daily porters, receptionists and the manager on duty.
• Perform regular security and fire checks (e.g., 12 am, 2 am, 4 am, 6 am) and log any irregularities.
• Check‑in and check‑out guests, handle luggage, and respond promptly to guest enquiries.
• Process lounge and room‑service orders after 11 pm, maintain clean kitchen and food‑prep areas.
• Collect breakfast cards, deliver early breakfasts, and manage bar service after bar staff leave, ensuring proper cash and stock handling.
• Execute night cleaning tasks, maintain public areas, premier lounge, reception desk, meeting rooms, and bathrooms.
• Monitor fax machine and deliver messages quickly.
• Complete a comprehensive night‑shift report and hand over any incidents to the duty manager and day staff.

Required profile

• Professional appearance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently during night hours.
• Strong attention to detail for security, fire checks and reporting.
• Excellent customer service mindset.

Required skills

• Fluent English communication.
