Occupational Health Nurse

About the role

This position offers an experienced nurse the chance to lead occupational health services within a leading medical device manufacturing environment in Limerick. You will promote physical, mental and occupational wellbeing for a diverse workforce while ensuring compliance with Irish health and safety legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional occupational health nursing services to employees.
• Manage health surveillance programmes aligned with exposure risks such as noise, respiratory hazards, manual handling and chemicals.
• Conduct medical screenings and health assessments as required.
• Maintain confidential employee health records in line with GDPR and nursing standards.
• Deliver workplace health programmes and support injury and illness management.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace culture.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Minimum three years post‑registration nursing experience.
• Ideally at least one year experience in occupational health, preferably within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, engineering or industrial settings.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
