Project Manager – Active Travel Infrastructure

About the role

Egis is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Active Travel projects across Ireland, ensuring delivery that meets time, budget, and quality expectations while supporting the company’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee execution of Active Travel projects, ensuring compliance with contracts and standards.
• Lead and mentor a high‑performing project team.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships.
• Implement quality control processes for project deliverables.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
• Provide regular progress reports to the UK & Ireland Roads and Active Travel Director and clients.
• Identify business development opportunities and contribute to bid proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering civil/transport infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in business development and winning design/engineering contracts.
• Strong leadership, communication and financial management skills.
