Project Manager – Civil Construction (Laois)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large civil infrastructure project in Laois. You will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering the project safely, on time, and within budget while aligning outcomes with organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Take full accountability for project delivery, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and budget targets.
• Set project standards, identify and resolve issues promptly, and manage contract programmes.
• Provide line management for Site Managers, Site Engineers, and Section Managers.
• Maintain effective client relationships and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• Create, review, and update risk assessments as needed.
• Oversee commercial activities, including gross margin, cost control, and financial performance.
• Manage subcontractor performance and resolve operational issues, escalating critical matters to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a relevant trade certification.
• Proven experience in a Project Manager or Senior Engineer role on large public civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong stakeholder management abilities and the capacity to build close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
