Project Manager – Light Rail

About the role

The Light Rail Network Management Section of Transport Infrastructure Ireland is seeking a Project Manager to lead delivery of projects within the Light Rail Life‑Cycle Asset Renewals (LCAR) and Network Enhancement (NE) portfolios. Reporting to the Senior Programme & Delivery Manager, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to bring projects from concept through design, procurement and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Programme Manager in identifying, planning and delivering projects from the 10‑year Asset Investment Programme.
• Manage LCAR and NE projects through options selection, design development, procurement evaluation and award.
• Prepare tender documentation, including Invitations to Tender, Works Requirements and design specifications.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and hand‑over to operations and asset teams, ensuring completion of as‑built records and certification.
• Maintain regular progress, risk, cost and programme updates for senior management.
• Liaise with the Operations and Maintenance Contractor (Keolis/Amey) and external stakeholders such as the National Transport Authority and Dublin City Council.
• Establish and maintain risk registers and risk management processes in line with TII policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects within a rail or transport environment.
• Ability to work closely with internal safety teams and the Commission for Rail Regulation on safety matters.
• Strong coordination skills across internal departments, external advisors and public agencies.
