Purchasing Manager – Fixed Term (July 2026 to Jan 2027)

About the role

Dromoland Castle Resort is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager on a fixed‑term basis (July 2026 – January 2027). You will lead procurement strategy, manage supplier relationships and ensure the seamless supply of goods and services across the luxury resort.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage supplier contracts, pricing agreements and service standards.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations and supply risks.
• Produce monthly expenditure reports and performance analysis.
• Oversee accounts receivable, invoice processing and payment accuracy.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand operational needs.
• Source and negotiate with new and existing suppliers.
• Coordinate inventory requirements and delivery schedules.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or related field.
• Proven purchasing or procurement management experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical capability and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisational, planning and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven and able to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Experience with Procure Wizard or similar procurement software.
