Retail Buyer – Hybrid (Dublin 24)

About the role

This role is a hands‑on retail buying position with a large Irish retail group operating over 300 stores. The Buyer will own a Front‑of‑Shop category, managing everything from supplier negotiations to in‑store execution, and will help transform the way the business buys, ranges and launches branded products.

Key responsibilities

• Take full commercial ownership of the assigned category, including margin and sales targets.
• Negotiate directly with global and branded suppliers on trading terms.
• Develop and manage promotional plans, joint business plans, and sell‑through strategies.
• Secure exclusive launches, gift‑with‑purchase (GWP) activities and first‑to‑market deals.
• Manage planograms, space allocation and overall range performance.
• Represent the category in weekly trade and commercial meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in Buying or Assistant Buying.
• Experience with branded, supplier‑led categories such as FMCG, confectionery, beauty, health, electrical or power tools.
• Proven ability to own and deliver against a P&L.
• Comfortable working independently in a lean, hands‑on environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site three days a week in Dublin 24.
