Sales Specialist – Structural Products

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Sales Specialist focused on structural solutions to support our customers and drive project sales. You will work closely with contractors, engineers, architects, developers and our external sales team to provide expert product guidance, prepare quotations and secure specifications from enquiry through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incoming enquiries, develop relationships with key stakeholders and convert opportunities into sales.
• Prepare competitive quotations and follow up to maximise conversion rates.
• Support project sales from specification stage through to order fulfilment, collaborating with external sales representatives.
• Achieve individual sales, margin and growth targets.
• Provide technical advice on structural products and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Maintain project pipelines in CRM, monitor progress and ensure accurate pricing, availability and timely order processing.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers on technical queries and stay updated on industry standards and product innovations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in internal, technical or specification sales within the construction industry.
• Strong commercial awareness with a focus on sales growth and profitability.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of structural steel systems, timber engineering products, roofing structures, structural fixings and connectors, reinforcement products, concrete‑related systems and masonry support systems.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with CRM systems for pipeline and project management.
