Senior Accountant – Cork

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a leading accountancy and business advisory firm in Cork. You will manage your own portfolio of SME clients, deliver high‑quality accounting and advisory services, and mentor junior staff while contributing to the firm’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
• Prepare complex annual statutory financial statements.
• Provide accounting support and business advisory services.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Review junior team members’ work and offer coaching and technical guidance.
• Support team performance, utilisation and profitability targets.
• Effectively manage workloads while delivering exceptional client service.
• Collaborate with senior management on client engagements and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Strong experience preparing statutory financial statements.
• Proven ability to manage your own client portfolio.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Proactive, client‑focused approach.
• Passion for mentoring and developing junior team members.
