Senior Accounts Manager – Cork (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Senior Accounts Manager to lead a team of accountants and trainees in our growing Cork‑based accountancy and consulting practice. The role focuses on overseeing the quality of management accounts, reviewing client‑facing deliverables, and providing strategic financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of qualified accountants and trainees.
• Review management accounts and client deliverables before sign‑off.
• Investigate gross‑margin variances and devise action plans to improve profitability.
• Design, evaluate and implement internal controls.
• Manage working capital and provide full financial control services to a portfolio of clients.
• Present financial analysis and recommend operational and financial improvements.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience preparing full sets of accounts and reviewing the work of others.
• Comfortable in client‑facing roles and presenting financial analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and a natural reviewer’s eye.
• Demonstrated ability to train, supervise and develop staff.
• Excellent organisational skills, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Relevant third‑level degree.
