Senior Coordinating Engineer – Building Projects

About the role

The Senior Coordinating Engineer reports to the Project Manager and leads the technical management of building projects. This role requires a methodical approach, strong team leadership, and effective communication with design teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the technical delivery of building projects from concept to completion.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with design consultants and third‑party contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality standards, programme schedules, and commercial targets.
• Resolve technical issues promptly and keep projects on deadline.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, construction management or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience in a contracting environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Appreciation for health & safety, quality, programme control and commercial return.
• Post‑graduate qualifications and/or membership of Engineers Ireland are desirable.
