Senior Design Manager – Construction (Dublin)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Design Manager to lead the design process on major construction projects in Dublin. This senior leadership position will act as the central link between clients, consultants and project teams, ensuring design clarity, risk management and timely delivery of information ready for construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the full design process across multiple project stages.
• Manage design information flow between architects, engineers, consultants and site teams.
• Ensure designs are buildable, compliant with Irish Building Regulations and aligned with programme requirements.
• Chair design meetings and coordinate key stakeholder discussions.
• Maintain strong document control, design trackers and reporting systems.
• Identify and manage design risks, including coordination and programme impacts.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in a Design Manager or Senior Design role on complex, multi‑disciplinary building projects.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and construction delivery processes.
• Confident communicator able to manage stakeholders and chair meetings effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and a structured approach.
