Senior Duty Manager

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Senior Duty Manager to lead the Food & Beverage operations at Cork's Vienna Woods Hotel, an 18th‑century 4‑star property set in 22 acres of private woodlands. The role combines guest‑focused service with operational leadership across multiple venues.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily Food & Beverage service, including restaurant, bar, conference, wedding and catering operations.
• Maintain and enforce quality standards, ensuring consistency across all outlets.
• Anticipate guest needs, resolve issues promptly, and uphold exceptional customer service.
• Lead, coach and schedule a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Required profile

• Previous duty‑manager experience in a high‑volume 4‑star (or 5‑star) hotel.
• Strong ability to manage a demanding hotel operation on a daily basis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive, customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Hotsoft (advantageous).
