Senior Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a leading construction contractor delivering high‑profile projects across Ireland. You will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating and delivering large‑scale construction works while working closely with project and site management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate engineering activities throughout all construction stages.
• Supervise and mentor Site Engineers and Junior Engineers.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and design information.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, consultants and design teams.
• Prepare, review and manage technical submittals, RFIs and as‑built documentation.
• Oversee setting‑out activities and ensure accuracy of site works.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and ensure programme milestones are met.
• Conduct quality inspections and enforce QA/QC procedures.
• Support health and safety implementation on site and attend regular site meetings.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer role on large‑scale projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies and engineering principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full driving licence.
