Senior Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with over 7 years of experience to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor in a hybrid Bid & Pre‑construction position. This role offers the chance to move from on‑site engineering into a pre‑construction environment, contributing to a wide variety of projects at the tender and early‑development stages.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate tender submissions.
• Conduct technical reviews of drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Develop construction methodologies and provide programme inputs.
• Liaise with estimating, design, and commercial teams throughout the bid process.
• Attend pre‑tender site visits and client meetings as required.
• Identify and mitigate risks during the tender stage.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or diploma.
• 7+ years’ experience with a Main Contractor.
• Strong technical knowledge across building projects.
• Commercial awareness with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Full driving licence.
